(A) Identity & Commitment: We are the development team of QR LENS AND BARCODE GENERATOR. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used to provide you with a high-quality scanning experience.
We comply with 2026 Data Safety standards. Our data practices are summarized below:

1. EXTENDED INTERNET & NETWORK USAGE
The App uses the internet to enhance the user experience in the following ways:
- External URL Loading: When you scan a QR code containing a web link, the App uses your internet to navigate to that link.
- Product Database Search: For Barcodes, the App connects to global product databases to show you real-time information such as product names, brands, and categories.
- SDK Communication: The App connects to Google AdMob servers to load advertisements and to Firebase for crash reporting and app performance optimization.
2. CAMERA & LOCAL PROCESSING (PRIVACY FIRST)
We use the Google ML Kit for high-speed scanning. All image analysis is done locally on your mobile device. We do not take photos, record videos, or upload your camera feed to any external server.
3. DATA STORAGE & USER DELETION RIGHTS
Local Database (Hive): Your scan history is stored in an encrypted local database (Hive) on your device. We do not have any cloud access to your history.
- Manual Deletion: You can delete any scan record from the app’s history at any time.
- Full Deletion: Uninstalling the app or using "Clear Data" in Android settings will permanently erase all history.
4. ADVERTISING & AD-ID POLICY
We use Google AdMob for monetization. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA) to provide personalized ads. This is a non-permanent identifier. You can reset this ID or opt-out of personalized ads via your Android Device Settings > Google > Ads.
5. EXTERNAL LINKS DISCLAIMER
Our app may open links to third-party websites. Once you leave our app, we have no control over the privacy practices of those external sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit after scanning.
6. COMPLIANCE (GDPR & CCPA)
GDPR CCPA We respect global privacy laws. Users have the right to request access to the technical data collected by our third-party SDKs (AdMob/Firebase) or stop all data collection by uninstalling the application.
